Cala Cinque Denti (Cove of Five Teeth) is located on the northeast coast of the island of Pantelleria and is so called because of the high coastline indented by spikes of large rocks. This beautiful cove is one of the results of the last eruption of the Kùddia Randazzo crater, which generated the lava river called Lave del Khagiàr some 7,900 years ago, which can still be seen today.
The Lago or Specchio di Venere (Lake or Mirror of Venus) is one of the most charming places on Pantelleria. It is located in the northern part of the island, a few kilometres from the airport. It is fed exclusively by rainfall and some thermal springs.
The Arco dell’Elefante (Arch of the Elephant), together with the Faraglione di Punta Tracino (Punta Tracino Stack), is one of the most famous landmarks of the island of Pantelleria. It is a rocky arch created by lava and its shape resembles the head of an elephant plunging its trunk into the water.
