Sabbie Nere Beach

Cannitello Beach is located in the southern part of the island of Vulcano between Punta Bandiera and Punta Ufala. It is a beautiful beach of fine black sand, surrounded by dense vegetation and is never crowded.

The Piscina di Venere (Venus Pool) is a beautiful natural pool located on the northwest coast of the island of Vulcano. It is a true natural amphitheatre, whose circular perimeter is marked by tuff and basalt rocks.

The Punta dell’Asino beach is located on the southern coast of the island of Vulcano. It can be reached on foot along a steep path from the village of Gelso. Alternatively, you can get to the beach from the sea by paying for a taxi boat ride.

The Grota del Cavallo (Horse Cave) is located in the north-western part of Vulcano, near another of the island’s great attractions: the Piscina di Venere (Venus Pool). The name is said to originate from the shape of a rock that sits at the end of the natural cave and resembles a horse’s head.

Acque Calde Beach (also known as Fumarole Beach) is located on the north-eastern coast of the island of Vulcano, in the Baia di Ponente (Western Bay). This beach gets its names from the unique secondary volcanic phenomena that occurs here.
